Two countries. Two harvests. One bag. Dos Tierras is the moment The Drip stopped telling one origin story and started telling two at once.

This is The Drip Brief Tote No. 003 — named Dos Tierras, Spanish for “Two Lands,” because that is exactly what this bag is built from. Where La Flor Negra and Los Volcanes were each cut from a single coffee export sack, Dos Tierras is the collection’s first true multi-origin piece — pieced together from two separate sacks representing two separate harvests, two separate countries, two separate journeys across the ocean. This bag does not have one origin story. It has two, stitched into one.

“The print you see isn’t decoration — it’s provenance. The typography, the emblems, the faded ink — that’s the original mark of the farm, pressed into jute before the beans ever left their country of origin.”

Octavius Marsion  ·  Designer Statement  ·  Atlanta

TWO LANDS, TWO FACES

FRONT FACE · BRAZIL

“Café’s do Brasil” in bold black stencil, framed by red polka-dot coffee cherry graphics and a hand-printed green leaf wave. The unmistakable mark of a Brazilian export sack.

BACK FACE · GUATEMALA

“Los Volcanes Coffee” — the same farm behind Drop 002 — layered with “#YourLeaf Roasters” branding, with “Brazil Natural Arabica” stamped below. A second sack, a second country, pieced directly in.

GRAPHIC ORIGIN · WHAT YOU’RE READING ON THIS BAG

“Café’s do Brasil”

Bold stencil lettering on the front face, the brand mark of a Brazilian coffee exporter, printed at origin before this sack ever left Brazil.

Red coffee cherry polka dots + green leaf wave

The original graphic identity of the Brazilian sack, illustrating the coffee plant itself.

“Los Volcanes Coffee · #YourLeaf Roasters”

The back face carries a second sack entirely: the same Guatemalan farm identity from Drop 002, layered with a U.S. roaster’s branding, plus “Brazil Natural Arabica” denoting the bean varietal sourced.

“60 KG NET · 132.28 LBS · P25009 · Higher Process”

Side panel export documentation: net shipping weight in two unit systems, the export batch code, and the processing classification of the beans.

Octavius Marsion Atlanta label

Embossed leather brand patch, hand-sewn to the upper front panel. The only mark we added.

THE FULL STORY

Every bag in The Drip begins with a single sack. Dos Tierras began with two. One arrived from Brazil — its surface marked with bold cherry-red polka dots and the stenciled pride of “Café’s do Brasil.” The other carried the name Los Volcanes, the same Guatemalan farm behind Drop 002, layered with a roaster’s own branding from its journey through the supply chain. Neither sack alone was enough to tell this story. Together, they became something new.

I cut both sacks by hand, matched their weight and weave, and pieced them into a single structured silhouette — the Brazilian cherry print commanding the front, the Guatemalan farm stamp and roaster mark dominating the back, with the sage-and-magenta striped panel sections binding the two together at the seams. The genuine leather handles, the hand-woven braid trim, and the brass hardware are unchanged from the rest of the collection — but the body of this bag is something the collection has never done before.

Dos Tierras is not one farm’s story. It’s the story of two harvests that crossed two oceans and met on the same worktable in Atlanta.

Each drop carries its own name drawn directly from the sack — or sacks — that built it. Dos Tierras marks the first time the collection has crossed two origins in a single piece.

1 OF 1 — THIS EXACT BAG WILL NEVER EXIST AGAIN

Dos Tierras is built from two specific coffee export sacks that will never be paired this way again. When this bag sells, both sacks are gone — together. No restock. No reprint. No second edition. The exact pairing of Brazilian and Guatemalan graphics, the panel placement, and the striped side sections are unique to this single piece. La Flor Negra and Los Volcanes proved the demand. Dos Tierras raises the stakes.

Two lands met once.

This is the only proof.

We release new Drip totes as they’re completed in the Atlanta studio — sometimes several times a week, always one at a time. If Dos Tierras is still here when you’re reading this, you’re early. Check back daily for new named drops added to the collection.
